Tehran Symphony Orchestra has done an outstanding performance in Italy, with European country’s widely-known conductor Riccardo Muti in attendance.
On Saturday, a large number of audience members were gathered at the event and captured by the virtuosity of Iranian artists to the extent that their ovation at the end of the concert took more than ten minutes.
The Tehran Symphony Orchestra’s performance was attended by Italian maestro Riccardo Muti who conducted the ensemble in Iran on Thursday.
The July 8 performance in the Italian city of Ravenn was the second event with the same ensemble.
Besides Italian pieces, the national anthem for Islamic Republic of Iran was performed at the event.
Shardad Rohani, the conductor of the orchestra, was quoted by the media as saying that the historic presence of Muti is a turning point in Tehran Symphony Orchestra’s activities.
